by on Jun.22, 2010 @ 4:51 pm, under NPB

...The Fighters will likely start Masaru Takeda, Toshiyuki Yanuki, and Tomoya Yagi for their three game series against the Softbank Hawks that begins tonight.  From the three game series against the Chiba Lotte Marines that begins on the 25th: Yu Darvish, Bobby Keppel, and Takayuki Kanamori.

Incidentally, Darvish probably won't travel with the team for a three game series against the Seibu Lions that begins on the 29th (lots of traveling due to games at three different locations).  Instead, he'll likely report to Kamagaya for workouts.

...Keisaku Itokazu was diagnosed with a minor contusion to his left oblique muscle (軽度の右外腹斜筋挫傷).  Itokazu suffered the injury during his outing on the 18th against the Orix Buffaloes.

...The Fighters will be hosting a Let's go to the Kawaguchi Races Game (川口オートへ行こう!in 東京ドーム) on 7/7 at Tokyo Dome.

...It seems the Fighters have become honorary tourist ambassadors for Hokkaido.  Beginning on the 22nd and leading up to their We Love Hokkaido series against the Orix Buffaloes that begins on 7/9, a number of players will provide fans (via the official Fighters' mobile site) with photos of their trips to various Hokkaido tourists spots.

...The Fighters are thinking about inviting Takeshi Okada (World Cup Soccer manager for Japan) to throw out a ceremonial first pitch
