...Hideaki Takahashi will likely start tonight's game against the Nippon Ham Fighters.

...The Hawks dropped their 5th game in a row last night.  It marks the first time the team has lost 5 in a row under Koji Akiyama.

...The Hawks lead both leagues in walks allowed with 240.  The Hiroshima Carp are in second place with 222.

...Sadaharu Oh will apparently consider a trade to help improve their catching situation.

...Hiroki Kokubo might be able to make it back to the active roster some time in early July.  On Wednesday, Kokubo took soft toss BP for the first time since he hurt his neck and took 45 swings in all.

Said Kokubo, "I was swing the bat at about 50% [near the end].  I probably could have swung harder if I tried, but I haven't swung the bat in a while [so I didn't want to push myself too hard]. ... I'd like to continue taking soft toss BP this week, and then hopefully next week move on to regular BP.  If I can hit with 100% of my strength during soft toss BP and also hit regular BP, I think it'll only be a matter of time after that."

...The Hawks have posted a video from the press conference the team held yesterday announcing JAL's Hawks Jet.
