Notes

The Dragons won the series, 2-1.

The Carp stopped a 5-game losing streak and are now 27-39-2 (4th place). Since the end of Inter-league play, the Carp have gone 2-5. ... The Dragons 2-game winning streak came to an end.  They are now 36-35-1 (3rd place).  The Dragons are 5-4 since the end of the Inter-league season.

Shinoda (HIR) picked up his first start in his second start of the season.  It's also his first victory as a starter since 4/26/2009.  Shinoda is now 2-1. ... Kawai (CHU) took the loss and droped to 1-3.  Kawai started the season off with a victory in his first start on 5/24.  Since then he has gone 0-3 in five starts, with all three of the losses coming in his last three starts.

Huber (HIR) picked up his first timely hit since arriving in Japan (non-home run). ... The home run by N. Donoue in the 9th was the first of his career.
