...Takayuki Kishi apparently started feeling discomfort during practice the day after his start on the 29th against the Nippon Ham Fighters.  A little worrisome is what chief trainer Makoto Sasaki said:

"He felt some discomfort at the beginning of the season, but he was able to throw, so he did.  It isn't as if the discomfort is worse now, it just seems he wants it to go away now."

It also seems that Kishi felt he couldn't say anything after Kazuhisa Ishii got hurt.

And according to Sponichi, Kishi will be getting checked out at a number of different hospitals, beginning today.

...Yusei Kikuchi, working his way back from discomfort in his left shoulder, threw 22 pitches in the bullpen with the catcher squatting.  Moving forward, Kikuchi will likely hold a bullpen session once every two days. The plan is for him to pitch in a Ni-gun game at some point this month.

...The Nippon Ham Fighters completed a 3-0 sweep of the Lions last night.  It was the first time this season that the Lions were swept 3-0.
