Hiroshima Carp: July 3, 2010

by on Jul.03, 2010 @ 3:34 pm, under NPB

...Today's game was canceled due to rain.

...Despite only getting one hit in the entire game, the Carp won last night's game against the Yokohama Bay Stars, 2-1.  Seems it was just the 34th time that has happened in the NPB.  The last time it happened was back on 8/26/2009 when Lotte beat Softbank on just one hit.  The last time it happened for the Carp was when Takuya Kimura led off a game with a home run to beat the Yakult Swallows on 5/23/200.

Incidentally, the Carp lead all teams in one hit victories with 6.  Chunichi, Nippon Ham, and Softbank are in second place with 4.
