All-Star Game 2010 News: July 6, 2010

...Takeya Nakamura will not be participating in this year's All-Star Game festivities.  Taking his place on the roster will be Eiichi Koyano (HAM).

...It would seem Tatsunori Hara plans on batting Hayato Sakamoto first in the order.

...Matt Murton is the first foreign position player for the Hanshin Tigers to make it onto the All-Star roster in his first year since Mike Solomko in 1960.  The last foreigner Hanshin player (non-position player) to make it onto the All-Star roster in his first year was actually Trey Moore (pitcher) back in 2002.

...At 22 years and 3 month, Kenta Maeda will be the youngest pitcher to start an All-Star game since Tsunemi Tsuda (22 years and 11 months) in 1983.

...Tsuyoshi Kawagishi has made some headlines since he was once released by the Chunichi Dragons in 2006 and had to take a tryout in order to get on the Rakuten Eagles.
