...Hiroki Kokubo played in a Ni-gun game against Orix earlier today.  He started at first and batted fifth and went 0-for-2.  Kokubo was taken out of the game in the 6th.

...Toshiya Sugiuchi recorded his 11th victory of the season last night.  It was also his 2nd complete game shutout of the year.  In throwing the complete game, Sugiuchi required 132 pitches, of which 80 were off-speed pitches.

...Munenori Kawasaki stole the team's 100th base of the 2010 season last night.  They are the first club to reach 100 so far this season.  The second closest team to 100 is Hiroshima with 70.

...Softbank (the actual company) is celebrating it's 30th anniversary.  Yesterday, the company invited SMAP to make an appearance at the Budokan in the afternoon, followed by having 10,000 of their employees cheer and support the Hawks at Tokyo Dome in the evening (each was given their own replica visitor uniform and cheer flag).
