7/8/2010: Kazuo Matsui, Hiroki Kuroda, Ichiro Suzuki

Games from the 7th:

White Sox 5 - Angels 2
Hideki Matsui was the starting DH and batted fifth.  He went 0-for-2: catcher interference, ground out to first, walks, fly out to center.

Royals 7 - Marines 3
Ichiro Suzuki started in right and batted first.  He went 1-for-5: fly out to center, infield single, fly out to center, ground out to short, fly out to left.

Cubs 8 - Diamondbacks 3
Kosuke Fukudome started in right and batted first.  He went 0-for-4: ground out to first, walk, ground out to second, ground out to short, fly out to left.

Marlins 4 - Dodgers 0
Hiroki Kuroda started the game and gave up 4 runs (including a 3-run homer) over 7 innings of work.  Kuroda took the loss and is now 7-7 on the year.  Final line: 7 IP, 28 BF, 6 H, 4 SO, 0 BB, 4 R, 4 ER.

Braves 7 - Phillies 5
Takashi Saito entered the game in the 8th with one out and the Braves up, 7-4.  And while Saito was able to protect the lead, he did give up a run in his .2 innings of work.  Final line: .2 IP, 5 BF, 3 H, 0 SO, 0 BB, 1 R, 1 ER.


Akinori Iwamura went 0-for-4 with 2 strikeouts against the triple-A Louisville Bats on the 7th.  Iwamura started at third and batted second.


Kazuo Matsui went 5-for-5 with two doubles, a run scored, and 2 RBI against the triple-A Fresno Grizzlies on the 7th.  Matsui started at second and batted first.
