...Takashi Toritani extended his hitting streak to 7 games while Keiichi Hirano extended his to 8 and Kenji Jojima to 9.

...Matt Murton was taken out of the game in the 9th when Masanori Fujihara took over his spot in the line-up.  It was the first time this season that Murton was not able to play out an entire game.

...Kentaro Sekimoto's consecutive pinch-hit hitting streak ended at 10 games when he flied out to center in the 4th last night.

...Yuya Ando surrendered his first career grand slam last night.  The blast came in the 4th inning of Kazuhiro Hatakeyama's (YAK) bat.  He also gave up a career high 7 runs in one inning (4th inning).

...Kazuhito Futagami started his first Ni-gun game yesterday (vs Hiroshima) and allowed 3 runs (all earned) to score over 3 innings of work.  Futagami was scheduled to throw about 80 pitches but ended up throwing only 43.  He also topped out at 134km/h.  Final line: 3 IP, 14 BF, 5 H, 0 BB, 0 HBP, 0 SO, 3 R, 3 ER.
