7/11/2010: Hisanori Takahashi, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Akinori Iwamura

Games from the 10th:

Athletics 15 - Angels 1
Hideki Matsui was the starting DH and batted fifth.  He went 0-for-3: strikeout swinging, ground out to second, fly out to right.

Mariners 4 - Yankees 1
Ichiro Suzuki started in right and batted first.  He went 1-for-4 and extended his hitting streak to 12 games: strikeout swinging, fly out to center, infield single, ground out to the pitcher.

Cubs 7 - Dodgers 3
Kosuke Fukudome entered the game in the 7th as a defensive replacement in right and grounded out to second in his only at bat of the game.

Braves 4 - Mets 0
Hisanori Takahashi entered the game in the 6th inning, with the Braves up 4-0, and tossed three shutout innings.  Final line: 3 IP, 11 BF, 1 H, 2 SO, 1 BB, 0 R, 0 ER.

Takahashi will be returning to the rotation in the second half with his first start set for the 19th against the Diamondbacks.  He will also be available to pitch out of the bullpen on the first day after the All-Star break (the 15th against the Giants).


Daisuke Matsuzaka's first start after the All-Star break will be on the 19th vs the Athletics.


Kazuo Matsui went 0-for-3 with a run scored in the first game of a double-header against the triple-A Reno Aces on the 10th.  Matsui started at second and batted first.  Matsui did not take part in the second game of the double-header.


Akinori Iwamura went 1-for-5 with 2 strikeouts against the triple-A Toledo Mud Hens on the 10th.  Iwamura started at third and batted second.
