...Alex Ramirez hit two homers tonight and now has 30 on the year.  This is the fastest Ramirez has gotten to 30 homers in his career.  It also gives Ramirez 30 homers in three consecutive seasons (6th overall).

...The Giants managed to hold the Bay Stars to 8 hits tonight.  That stops their streak of allowing double-digit hits at 12 games.

...Tetsuya Utsumi will likely start tonight's game against the Yokohama Bay Stars.

...Yuya Kubo and Tetsuya Yamaguchi are fully prepared to pitch in each of the 6 remaining games prior to the All-Star break, if needed.

...The last time the Giants had two consecutive games rained out was back on 7/17/2006 and 7/18/2006 (vs Hanshin at Koshien Stadium).  Because of the two rain outs, the Giants may end up playing an extra two games at Koshien in September (on top of the three they already have scheduled).
