by on Jul.20, 2010 @ 4:08 pm, under NPB

...For the first time in club history, the Giants have allowed 5 or more runs in 10 straight games (the Giants' previous high was 9 games, set once in 1995 and again in 2004).  So far in the month of July, Giants' starters have gone 1-6 and have given up 56 runs allowed (48 earned) over 50 innings of work.  The bullpen hasn't been that much better, going 3-3 with 29 runs allowed (26 earned) over 54.1 innings.

The last team to string together 10 or more games of 5 or more allowed runs was Hiroshima back in 2007 (10 games between 6/24 and 7/11).
