JPBPA not interested in NPB’s proposal for international All-Star Game vs MLB

The Japan Professional Baseball Players Association (JPBPA) met earlier today in Fukuoka to discuss the NPB's proposal for an international All-Star Game (of sorts) against the MLB in November.  Seems they aren't interested in taking part in the game due to things like an already busy schedule and the duplicity (to a degree anyway) with the WBC.  The JPBPA charter also apparently includes a section about not participating in international games for the sole purpose of encouraging friendship between two leagues.

The JPBA also decided to auction of player memorabilia as a means to raise money for foot and mouth disease relief efforts in Miyazaki, as well as offering their support for promoting baseball in Sri Lanka.
