7/26/2010: Daisuke Matsuzaka, Hideki Matsui, Koji Uehara

Games from the 25th:

Rangers 6 - Angels 4
Hideki Matsui was the starting DH and batted fifth.  He went 2-for-4: ground out to second, fly out to center, 2-run homer, single to right.

Mariners 4 - Red Sox 2
Ichiro Suzuki started in right and batted first.  He went 0-for-5: strikeout swinging, ground out to first, ground out to third, ground out to second, GIDP.

Daisuke Matsuzaka started the game and allowed a run over 6 innings of work.  He was not involved in the final decision.  Final line: 6 IP, 26 BF, 4 H, 4 SO, 5 BB, 1 R, 1 ER.

Hideki Okajima entered the game in the 8th with a runner on first and no out and the Red Sox up 2-1.  Okajima allowed 2 runs to score over his .2 inning outing and suffered his 3rd loss of the season.  Okajima is now 3-3.  Final line: .2 IP, 6 BF, 5 H, 0 SO, 0 BB, 2 R, 2 ER.

Kosuke Fukudome entered the game as a defensive replacement in the top of the 10th.  He finished out the rest of the game 1-for-2: single to right, strikeout.

Takashi Saito entered the game in the 9th, with the score tied at 4, and tossed a perfect inning in relief.  Final line: 1 IP, 3 BF, 0 H, 2 SO, 0 BB, 0 R, 0 ER.


Kazuo Matsui went 0-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout against the triple-A Salt Lake Bees on the 25th.  Matsui started at second and batted second.
