Seems Bobby Valentine wouldn't mind managing the Chicago Cubs.

Via Chicago Breaking Sports' Paul Sullivan:

Bobby Valentine joined Ryne Sandberg and Bob Brenly as officially voicing interest in succeeding Lou Piniella as Cubs manager.

Valentine, who was at Wrigley Field on Sunday as an analyst for ESPN on "Sunday Night Baseball," said it would be an opportunity any manager would like.

"As far as the job coming open at the end of the season, anyone that considers himself a manager would think about how attractive this opportunity is, and every once in a while I consider myself a manager."

Bobby’s a good manager, but I’ll eat my Expos hat if Ryne Sandberg doesn’t get this job.
