Katsuki Yamazaki had surgery on his left knee and started his rehab back on 6/29. The Hawks weren't expecting Yamazaki back for at least 3 months, but it now seems he might be able to return in less than 3 months.
On Sunday, at the Ganno Su baseball grounds, Yamazaki started taking some light fielding practice for the first time since his surgery. Yamazaki will be getting his knee re-examined to check on the progress of his recovery. If all goes well, he could begin playing in Ni-gun games some time in mid-to-late August.
