Kurihara took part in Ichi-gun practice at Mazda Stadium today. He told reporters that there was still a part of him that was afraid to swing at full capacity during BP.
Kenta Kurihara had his right wrist checked out yesterday and was given the green light to start playing in games again. As of now, it seems he'll be playing in his first Ni-gun on 8/6 vs Chunichi. The timing of when he returns to the active roster will depend on how he does during that game. If he does well, it could be any time on or after the 8th.
Kurihara recently took 200 swings against a machine topping out at about 110km/h and told reporters that he felt no pain. He also said he felt good swinging the bat, but needed more time to adjust in order to return to game-ready form.
