It seem the Buffaloes are planning on requiring their young foreign players to attend Fall Camp this year. Not sure what this means about their current crop of foreign players and just how young they mean when they say young, but that could include players like 23-year-old Freddy Ballestas and 26-year-old Francisco Caraballo. It seems they also signed a couple of those players to contracts that included a line about attending Fall Camp.
The bottom-line: it seems the team wants to move away from relying on big-named foreign players to carry the team and instead nurture younger (cheaper) foreign players by treating them just like any other Japanese player on the roster (Nikkan Sports mentioned Aarom Baldiris as an example). In other words, no more special treatment of foreign players.
