Games from the 2nd:

Brewers 8 - Cubs 1
Kosuke Fukudome entered the game in the 7th on defense (he took over in right) and went 0-for-2 at the plate: fly out to right, fly out to center.

Padres 10 - Dodgers 5
Hiroki Kuroda started the game and took the loss after giving up 5 runs (4 earned) on 7 hits (including a 3-run homer in the 4th) over 4 innings of work.  Kuroda is now 8-10 on the year.  Final line: 4 IP, 21 BF, 7 H, 1 SO, 1 BB, 5 R, 4 ER.

Braves 4 - Mets 1
Takashi Saito entered the game in the 8th, with the Braves up 4-1, and tossed a shutout inning in relief.  Final line: 1 IP, 5 BF, 2 H, 0 SO, 0 BB, 0 R, 0 ER.

Kazuo Matsui went 1-for-5 against the triple-A Fresno Grizzlies on the 2nd.  Matsui started at short and batted first.

Junichi Tazawa started playing catch (at distances of about 10 meters) again on the 2nd.  It was the first time he tossed the ball around since he underwent TJ surgery in April.

It looks like Hisanori Takahashi will be pitching out of the bullpen again.
