Michihiro Ogasawara was taken out of last night's game in the 4th on defense since the team had a 6-run lead. The Giants don't want to push Ogasawara to hard since his back has been acting up as of late.

Alex Ramirez appeared in his 872nd consecutive game last night, putting him in an 11th place tie with Koji Yamamoto on the All-time list.

Hideki Asai got the win last night against the Hiroshima Carp. A somewhat teary-eyed Asai told fans during his Hero Interview that winning the game was like a dream for him and that he put his family through a lot of hardships and that he was glad he could repay them with a win.
It was Asai's first victory since sing 9/17/2008.

Seth Greisinger worked out at Giants Stadium earlier today -- he did a number of training exercises, including shadow-pitching, and told reporters he thought he'd be able to make his next start. Based on the current rotation, that could be the 10th (vs Yakult).
