Kenta Maeda to pitch on 6-days of rest

by on Aug.10, 2010 @ 4:37 pm, under NPB

Kenta Maeda was often starting on 5-days of rest during the first half of the season, but it now seems as though the Hiroshima Carp will play it safe and start Maeda on 6-days of rest.  How long this will last isn't known, but it also means that pitchers like Jumpei Shinoda, Yuki Saito, and Mike Schultz will have to step up (as they'll be a part of the 6-man rotation).

Note: his last two starts were actually on 6-days of rest (Friday to Friday) so why this is being mentioned now, I'm not entirely sure.
