Rookie Masaru Nakamura will most likely get tomorrow's start against the Chiba Lotte Marines. Masataka Nashida is apparently fairly high on Nakamura's slider (comparing it to Masahiro Tanaka's) and told reporters that despite the fact that the team might be rushing Nakamura a bit, he hoped the start would end up as a good experience for him.
And due to a shortage in starting arms, it seems the Fighters could give Brian Wolfe a shot at the rotation. At some point over the next few days, Wolfe might be taken off the active roster so he can prepare himself for a start. Depending on how well the conversion goes, Wolfe could join the starting rotation. Buddy Carlyle could fill-in for Wolfe as he makes his preparations at Ni-gun.
