Chihiro Kaneko recorded his 6th shutout of the year last night by beating the Eagles, 3-0.  Kaneko becomes the first Orix pitcher to record 6 shutouts in the season since Nobuyuki Hoshino in 1987 and first pitcher in the NPB since Masaki Saito (YOM) 1995.

Here are the line scores from Kaneko's 6 shutout games:

Kaneko also becomes the first pitcher since Yutaka Enatsu (HAN) to toss 5 shutouts at one stadium in a season.  Enatsu recorded 7 shutouts in 1973, 5 of which came at Koshien Stadium.

It should be noted that Kaneko has also won his last 8 straight starts in a row.
