Takeru Imamura got his first pro start last night. And it wasn't all that pretty (2 IP, 13 BF, 49 NP, 4 H, 1 HR, 0 SO, 2 BB, 5 R, 4 ER).
And when he surrendered a grand slam to Kazuhiro Hatakeyama in the first inning, he became the first rookie pitcher to do so in his first pro game since Hideaki Wakui on 3/29/2005 (vs Nippon Ham Fighters, the batter was Shinji Takahashi).
It was also the 10th grand slam Hiroshima has given up this season. That ties an NPB record set by Lotte in 1980.
