I may have missed it in a past entry, but why is Matsumoto not playing and only pinch hitting?

I haven’t come across anything in the news, but I’m guessing they’re sitting him because he has just 1 hit in his last 19 at bats and is just 29-for-137 (.212) with a .518 OPS since returning to the active roster last month.
