48th Oendan Competition (First Half)

The 48th Oendan Competition (First Half) was held at Tokyo Dome and the Oendan for Tokyo Gas was elected for the top prize. Seems the judges were impressed at how the Oendan was able to get the crowd to do a wave on the 27th. The Oendan for Sumitomo Kinzoku Kashima was presented an award for excellence for their use of towels.
The judges also handed out honorable mentions (敢闘賞) to JR Higashi Nihon and Nihon Seimei.
