Akinori Iwamura went 0-for-1 with a walk and strikeout against the triple-A Louisville Bats on the 6th.  Iwamura started at third and batted second.  Iwamura was replaced by a pinch-hitter in the 6th.

According to Sports Hochi, both Akinori Iwamura and Kazuo Matsui could consider returning to the NPB next season.  Iwamura was also DFA'ed by the Indians on the 7th.

For Iwamura, it seems his ultimate desire is to play for a team that wants.  Matsui just wants a chance at playing everyday.

Sponichi posted an article about Mac Suzuki that touches on how much he loves to play baseball and wants to keep playing for as long as possible.

Suzuki has played in a number of countries over the years, including Mexico, the US, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic and Taiwan.  Seems he also has his eye on playing in Korea and Italy.
