Giants' owner Takuo Takihana answered some questions from the media yesterday and spoke of his expectations of the team. Amongst some of the things that were said:
Not winning the league (finishing in first) is as bad as finishing in 6th. The team can't start thinking about the Climax Series. First thing is winning the league. And then it's winning the Climax Series.
Sluggish plays are unforgivable.
The offense needs to start getting things together.
Fielding errors are unforgivable.
Reporters also ask Takihana about Tatsunori Hara's status as manager for the 2011 season. Takihana simply replied by saying that the club did sign him to a 3-year deal. In other words, for the time being, Hara's job is safe (he's currently in the second year of a 3-year contract).
