Two second year students on the Yokkaichi University baseball team are in trouble after they were found to have struck a first year student (also on the team), causing an eye injury that required 2 months to heal.
According to Yokkaichi University, the two second year students approached the first year student in the afternoon of July 10 in order to complain about the loud music that was coming from his room the night before. When the first year student denied playing the music, the two second year students struck the first year student.
In addition to the above incident, the first year student was apparently suspended by the team for a week, in the beginning of July, for a bad attitude. The suspension was extended after the first year student showed no signs of improvement.
The first year student's family has already submitted a form to remove the student from the university.
The university is now considering what course of action to take on the two second year students and the manager of the baseball team for allowing the incident to occur.
