End of the line for Japan Future Baseball League?

It appears the Japan Future Baseball League (JFBL) will be shutdown indefinitely, after the end of the current season.  Details on why will likely be covered during a press conference on the 17th, even though it wouldn't be too difficult to fathom a guess (gambling ring scandal involving 8 players and general sponsorship problems).

The league got together on Sunday to discuss the future of the league and decided it might be best if the two teams went their separate ways.  Both teams are currently hoping to continue operations next season by latching on with a different league.
