Takao Kaji would like to see the team to better this season

According to Nikkan Sports, Bay Stars' club president, Takao Kaji, told reporters yesterday that he would like the see the team improve upon their record from last season (51-93-0), even if it's by only one victory.  At 42-82-1, that would require the Bay Stars to win at least 10 of their remaining 12 games.

Interestingly, Sponichi has a slightly different take and feels Kaji wants the team to avoid setting a new NPB record of three consecutive seasons of 90 or more losses by winning (or tying I suppose) 12 of their remaining 19 games.  If the Bay Stars can manage that, they'd finish the season 54-89-1.
