It seems there is a chance that the JFBL could be shutdown permanently. A lot would depend on whether or not they can find another team to join the league. Barring that, I'm guessing the league is as good as done.
It also seems as though Osaka will look into various options and select the best one for the club. The hope is to keep it going for as long as possible.

The Japan Future Baseball League (JFBL) held a press conference in Osaka earlier today and officially announced that they were temporarily shutting down the league because the Osaka Gold Villicanes could not find enough financial support / backing for the 2011 season. In the end, it seems the Osaka Gold Villicanes were never able to recover financially after eight of their players (since released) were found to be gambling on baseball games.
The remaining games on the 2010 schedule will be played out.
The Mie Three Arrows (the second of two teams in the JFBL) mentioned that they will attempt to play games against teams in the IL next year. No word on what exactly will happen to the Osaka Gold Villicanes.
