Ichiro Suzuki started in right and batted first.  He went 2-for-4: infield single, foul out to left, fly out to left, infield single.

Ichiro recorded his 3,500th career NPB + MLB hit in the first inning on an infield single.  That's 1278 hits over 9 years in the NPB and 2,222 hits in the MLB.

Count down to 200: 14 games remaining, 7 more hits needed.

Twins 4 - Athletics 2
Akinori Iwamura started at third and batted seventh.  He went 1-for-2: strikeout swinging, walk, RBI double to right-center.

Blue Jays 4 - Red Sox 3
Hideki Okajima entered the game in the 8th, with the Red Sox down 4-3, and tossed two shutout innings in relief.  Final line: 2 IP, 6 BF, 0 H, 0 SO, 0 BB, 0 R, 0 ER.

This was Okajima's fourth straight season of 50 or more appearances in a season.

Cubs 5 - Marlins 3
Kosuke Fukudome entered the game as a pinch-hitter in the 8th, with the Cubs up 4-3 and runners on first and second and 1 out, and flew out to short.  He did not take the field in the bottom of the inning.
