Yasuyuki Kataoka and Kazuhisa Ishii suffered injuries in today's game against the Softbank Hawks.

Kataoka injured his right calf while running out a double (somewhere between first and second) in the 4th inning with a runner on second and 2 outs.  Kataoka was taken out of the game and taken to the hospital to get the leg checked out.

UPDATE ON KATAOKA: he was diagnosed with a minor injury to his right calf. The Lions will probably give Kataoka the day off tomorrow and then check on him again on Wednesday during practice before deciding on his status moving foward.  The Lions have four games left on their schedule (3 vs Rakuten and 1 vs Nippon Ham).

K. Ishii threw up his left hand on a line drive back up the box and suffered an injury to his left middle finger.
