Matt Murton and Kenji Jojima

Matt Murton (HAN) became the first player since Alex Ramirez to collect 200 or more hits in a season and the first player to hit a home run for his 200th hit.  Murton's also the second foreign player and second right-handed player to record 200 hits.  Seems his infield hit percentage (9.0%) is amongst the lowest of the previous three other players that recorded 200 hits.

And according to this Sponichi article, Andy Sheets advised Murton to focus on hitting the ball to the opposite field.  While I haven't really seen a lot of footage of Murton from his playing days in the US, in games I've seen him play this year, it does seem like he's keeping his hands fairly close to his body.  And according to hit charts I've seen, he's spraying the ball to pretty much all fields fairly evenly.

As for Kenji Jojima...  His 155 hits so far this year apparently ties the franchise record for hits in a season by a catcher, set twice by Takeshi Doigaki (1948 and 1949).
