The Yokohama Bay Stars held a board meeting yesterday to talk about the 2011 season. Seems a number of changes are coming down the line, including a complete overhaul of the coaching staff (Takao Obana's job is currently secure) and roster.
Club president Takao Kaji also told reporters he was hopeful that Daisuke Miura would turn things around next season and regain his spot in the starting rotation as the team ace. He also said that if Chunichi Dragons' pitcher Masahiro Yamamoto was capable of putting together a solid season at the age of 45, then Miura should still have something left in him at the age of 36.
Obana is expected to attend the Pheonix Leagues once the regular season ends in order to evaluate the club's talent.
