9/27/2010: Ichiro Suzuki, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Hisanori Takahashi

Yankees 4 - Red Sox 3
Daisuke Matsuzaka started the game and gave up 2 runs over 8 innings of work.  Final line: 8 IP, 27 BF, 4 H, 7 SO, 1 BB, 2 R, 2 ER.

Hideki Okajima entered the game in the 10th and gave up the game-winning run on a bases loaded walk.  Okajima took the loss and is now 4-4 on the year.  Final line: 0.1 IP, 5 BF, 2 H, 0 SO, 2 BB, 1 R, 1 ER.

Mariners 6 - Rays 2
Ichiro Suzuki started in right and batted first.  He went 2-for-4: single to left, infield single, walks, strikeout swinging, ground out to first.

Ichiro now has 205 hits on the year.

White Sox 4 - Angels 3
Hideki Matsui was the starting DH and batted fifth.  He went 0-for-3: ground out to second, fly out to left, fly out to center.  Matsui was replaced by a pinch-hitter in the 8th inning.

Rangers 19 - Athletics 9
Akinori Iwamura entered the game as a defensive replacement at third in the 7th inning and went 0-for-1 at the plate: walk, ground out to second.

With Kevin Kouzmanoff back in action, Iwamura's playing time will likely decrease moving forward.  Iwamura told reporters he was back to living day-to-day.

Cardinals 8 - Cubs 7
Kosuke Fukudome started in right and batted fifth.  He went 1-for-4: strikeout swinging, fly out to center, RBI double to right, RBI sac foul out to left, ground out to second.

Mets 7 - Phillies 3
Hisanori Takahashi entered the game in the 9th, with the Mets up 7-3, and tossed a shutout inning in relief.  Final line: 1 IP, 4 BF, 1 H, 0 SO, 0 BB, 0 R, 0 ER.
