Ichiro Suzuki started in right and batted first.  He went 1-for-5: fly out to short, ground out to second, single to center, RBI ground out to short, ground out to second.

Ichiro now has 208 hits on the year.

Angels 2 - Athletics 1
Hideki Matsui entered the game in the bottom of the 10th as a pinch-hitter and got an intentional walk.  Matsui stayed in the line-up after the at bat and took over in left in the top of the 11th.

Orioles 2 - Rays 0
Koji Uehara entered the game in the 9th, with the Orioles up 2-0, and retired the side in order for his 11th save of the year.  Final line: 1 IP, 3 BF, 0 H, 2 SO, 0 BB, 0 R, 0 ER.

White Sox 5 - Red Sox 2

Takashi Saito tossed a bullpen session on the 29th, his first since hurting his right shoulder.  Saito tossed a total 27 pitches and later told reporters that his shoulder was feeling fine and that he felt relieved there was no pain.  Saito could be activated as early as 10/1.
