Some news and notes about the Chunichi Dragons winning the Central League title:

This is the Dragons' 8th league title and first since 2006.  This will be Hiromitsu Ochiai's third league title since taking over as manager in 2004.

Players worked out at Nagoya Dome for about 3 hours beginning at 2pm.  After practice, they all returned home.  They all joined up at Nagoya Dome when the Hanshin - Hiroshima game was finalized.

Ochiai told reporters at the press conference that he stay away from alcohol the entire year and was looking forward to soaking in it during the celebration.

Roughly 2,000 bottles of beer were prepared for the celebration.  It all disappeared in about 15 minutes.

Matsuzakaya (main store in Nagoya) will hold a 3-day Dragons' celebration sale, beginning on Saturday.  They will also sell commemorative Dragons merchandise.

JR Nagoya Takashimaya, Maruei, and Nagoya Mitsukoshi will also be holding special celebration sales.
