The Baltimore Orioles are apparently thinking about giving Koji Uehara a contract extension.  Seems the Orioles are concerned about Uehara's stamina and health -- he's bee placed on the DL 4 times since joining the team in 2009.

Uehara told reporters he was grateful the team was even thinking about giving him an extension, especially since he considered retirement in June during his last DL stint.

Nikkan Sports mentions Peter Gammons' comment about how the Red Sox might trade Daisuke Matsuzaka away and drops the Mets, Dodgers, and Mariners as potential destinations.
