Tono got his first win since 8/5 (vs Hanshin) and is now 13-8.  Tono had gone 0-5 in between victories (a span of 6 starts and 1 relief appearance).  He's also 4-0 with a 3.14 ERA in 5 starts against the Hiroshima Carp.  Yamaguchi (YOM) saved his 5th game of the year. ... K. Maeda (HIR) took the loss and is now 15-8.  Against the Giants this year, he's 4-4 with a 4.12 ERA in 6 starts.

Sakamoto (YOM) hit a ball down the left field line in the 7th inning with a runner on first and 2 outs that was initially called a home run, but then reversed to a foul call after umps checked the replays.
