Akinobu Okada visited Orix headquarters in Osaka earlier today to give team owner Yoshihiko Miyauichi his full report on the 2010 season. According to Okada, the two didn't speak much about specifics in winning and losing, but covered other issues like why they couldn't finish in the top three, in addition to breaking down individual player performances.
Team owner Miyauchi told reporters that because the Pacific League was huge battle this year, he felt that there probably wasn't a huge gap in ability amongst the teams fought for a CS spot down the wire. He also said that he expected Okada to continue shaping the team and looked forward to seeing a better team next year.
Incidentally, Okada has a 3-year deal that actually needs to be renewed at the end of each season. While the two side didn't sign any paperwork for the 2011 season today, they are expected to do so at some point.
