Club GM Yoshio Murayama is apparently going to talk Mitsutaka Goto, Masayuki Hasegawa, Takeshi Hidaka, Hirotoshi Kitagawa about contract extensions in order to keep them with the team. All four players can become free agents during the upcoming off-season.
At this point, it seems Kitagawa and Hasegawa will most likely stay with the team. Hidaka told reporters on Saturday that he wanted to here what the Buffaloes had to say before making any decisions. Goto has mentioned interest in testing the FA waters.
The Buffaloes, for the most part, aren't interested in getting into a bidding war in order to persuade players to stay and will likely give each player their best monetary offers before moving on to providing reasons for staying (like explaining how much the team needs them and how popular their are with the fans).
