Matt Murton’s 214-hit commemorative hit bat selling well

by on Oct.10, 2010 @ 7:14 pm, under NPB

While an exact replica of Matt Murton's bat isn't on the market in Japan for regular consumers to purchase, a bat similar to the one he uses (maple, 84cm, Old Hickory Bat Company) is apparently selling really well.

A Murton model bat (for rubber baseball carrying a price tag of 12,600 yen), that was made to commemorate Murton's 214-hit record, was available for pre-order at the end of September and was sold out in two weeks, although it seem as though I Sports (official Asia supplier for Old Hickory Bat Company) is accepting pre-orders again with a delivery period some time in mid to late November.
