Tsuyoshi Nishioka wants to be posted this off-season?

Sponichi reports that Tsuyoshi Nishioka may be looking to get posted during the upcoming off-season.

"The season still isn't over and there really isn't much time to think at this point," said Nishioka.  "I think playing [in the Majors] is a dream everyone has."

Sports Hochi has a slightly different variation of the above quote from Nishioka, but more or less the same.

"It's where baseball began.  I think playing [in the Majors] is a dream every baseball player has. ... The season isn't over yet and there really isn't much time to think.  I haven't spoken to the club about this . ... Right now, it's all about Lotte and winning the Nippon Series."

And while that doesn't really point to Nishioka wanting to be posted this off-season, Sponichi does mention an unnamed source that seemed to think it was going to happen (not that he would be posted, but that Nishioka would approach the club about wanting to be posted).

In the end though, this is all speculation since Nishioka himself hasn't mentioned anything specifically about wanting to be posted and probably won't say anything until after the postseason.

The Sponichi article also mentions the San Francisco Giants as a team interested in Nishioka.

And a Sanspo article points out that if Nishioka does get posted, he may turn to the Beverly Hills Sports Council to represent him.

UPDATE: Rick Thurman's name was dropped by Sponichi.
