JFBL: Hiroshi Nagadomi to be named next Mie manager?

by on Oct.27, 2010 @ 1:57 pm, under Independent

It appears the Mie Three Arrows, of the Japan Future Baseball League (JFBL), will be hiring former Hiroshima Carp Hiroshi Nagadomi as their next manager.  The two sides are still in the middle of negotiations but a deal appears to be imminent.

Nagadomi retired as a player in 2002 and was employed as a Ni-gun pitching coach for the Daiei Hawks between 2003 and 2006.  He then spent 2 years as a pitching coach for the Ishikawa Million Stars (BC League), beginning in 2007.  In 2009, he took over as manager of the Nagasaki Saints (Island League) and was then let go in April 2010 due to poor team performance.

Do you think they will play in the IL to replace Nagasaki in 2011? And do you have an idea of what an independent player makes per month…is there a minimum or maximum?

    Thx in advance!
