Alex Ramirez left Japan earlier today from Narita airport. Ramirez had one of his best power numbers this season, blasting a career high 49 homers while picking up his 8th consecutive 100+ RBI season.
"I had a productive season. Better than I had anticipated," said Ramirez.
He continued, "I have something to learn every year. It'll be important to put that towards getting to the Nippon Series next year. I'll be ready for the 2011 season."
UPDATE (11/1 10:56am JST): Ramirez has his eyes on becoming the oldest player to win a triple crown. Seems he also wanted to keep playing until he's about 47 (old enough for his grandson to see him play and understand).
