IL: Mie announces new manager for 2011 season

by on Nov.08, 2010 @ 6:17 pm, under Independent

The Mie Three Arrows announced earlier today that Hiroshi Nagadomi was hired to be their next manager.  Nagadomi got his start as a Ni-gun pitching coach with the Daiei Hawks in 2003.  He held that position until 2006 and then spent 2 season, beginning in 2007, as pitching coach for the Ishikawa Million Stars (BC League).  In the winter of 2008, Nagadomi was named manager of the Nagasaki Saints.  On April 30th, Nagadomi was let go after the Saints got off to a slow start.

The Three Arrows also announced the addition of Tsuyoshi Furuya to the coaching staff.

Now the team can move forward to 2011. IL will be more of a challenge from what I have researched on the INDY leagues. It’s always about pitching. Hopefully the remaining tryouts will bring in some solid players and pitchers.

Not entirely sure, but what I can tell you is that the Island League released their opening day schedule on 2/8 and the rest of their schedules on 3/10.

The year before: opening day schedule on 2/10 and the rest of their schedules on 3/2.

Based on that, I’m guessing early February for opening day schedules and early March for the rest of the season.
