Seiichi Uchikawa submitted the necessary paperwork for domestic free agency to the Yokohama Bay Stars today. It seems the club also requested that he stay with the team and is rumored to have offer Uchikawa a 4-year deal.
Said Uchikawa, "I'm thankful [for the request to stay]. It means I have another option to consider. ... I need to think of my career, so I have to determine where I'd like to play. Whether I go or stay, I need to figure out which is right [for me]. I'd like to go the club that makes me want to play."
