Bay Stars interested in Hosokawa and Morimoto

by on Nov.11, 2010 @ 2:24 pm, under NPB

The Yokohama Bay Stars are apparently interested in both potential free agents Toru Hosokawa (Seibu) and Hichori Morimoto (Nippon Ham).

The Bay Stars are expected to submit a formal offer to Hosokawa once the FA negotiation window opens on the 18th.  The club has an interest in Morimoto because of his experience and his ability to cover a lot of ground with his speed.  If Uchikawa does leave, the Bay Stars will likely become serious suitors for Morimoto.

No doubt. Seems like if they really wanted to keep both Uchikawa and Murata, they would have done more to stay in touch with them. Instead it seems like they more or less blew them off. That may not have been the case, but to people on the outside looking it, it sure seems that way.

Yeah it is so bad now that Murata is saying he might stay just because he feels sorry for the team/fans and that he will go talk to them if they don’t bother to come talk to him. That’s just sad. I think Murata should just move on, but I admire his compassion for a crappy situation.
